History

1936

John Dupuy founded Dupuy Storage and opened the first warehouse on South Peters St. in New Orleans, LA.

1949

Dupuy Storage expands to a larger facility down the Mississippi river on Decatur St. in New Orleans.

1989

Dupuy Storage moves to its current headquarters on Jourdan Rd. Proudly servicing New Orleans with 250,000 square feet of modern warehouse space.

1992

Dupuy opens the first green coffee silo facility in the U.S.

1992

In our first expansion out of New Orleans, Dupuy opens Colmar Storage in Miami, FL.

1998

Our Dupuy facility in New Orleans becomes certified by the London Metals Exchange

1999

In our continued effort to add value services, Dupuy runs its first bag of green coffee through a state of the art upgrading line.

2005

Further growing in the green coffee market, Dupuy opens our second green coffee silo facility in Jacksonville, FL.

2007

After the terrible effects of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast, The Dupuy Group opens a warehouse servicing the Port of Houston.

2007

Supporting our silo facility in Jacksonville, The Dupuy Group opens a 55,000 square foot food grade warehouse.

2007

In conjunction with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, The Dupuy Group was selected as the official operator of the Container Examination Station in the Port of New Orleans.

2009

The Dupuy Group quickly expands in Houston to a modern 300,000 square foot facility.

2012

The Dupuy Group renames Colmar Storage and it becomes a part of The Dupuy Group family.

2013

To meet the demands of the growing need for quality storage space in Jacksonville, FL, The Dupuy Group opens a 300,000 square foot warehouse across the street from our silo facility.

2014

In our continued effort to offer quality warehousing space and service, The Dupuy Group opens a 100,000 square foot facility in Charleston, SC and officially becomes a regional company!

2015

All Dupuy Group facilities become Silliker and QAI Organic certified.

2016

Due to our employees’ hard work and customers’ support, The Dupuy Group celebrates our 80th Anniversary!

From our humble beginnings as coffee handlers on the New Orleans riverfront following the Great Depression, The Dupuy Group has evolved into a diversified global logistics provider. We’ve responded to our customers growing needs by increasing our capacity to handle a variety of products and adding ultra-clean, modern facilities that service the ports of Charleston, SC, Houston, TX, Jacksonville, FL, and New Orleans, LA.

Quality, Safety and Security

The following programs are in place at all Dupuy facilities:

  • Quality System and Food Defense Programs
  • Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety System Certification
  • Business Continuity Plan

At Dupuy, we take emergency preparedness seriously. We have a solid security program and policy in place, Emergency Situation Teams in place at each of our facilities and Disaster Operation Procedures in place in the event of a hurricane. Additionally, our data centers are generator powered. If Mother Nature strikes, we are proud to still offer real-time data replication.
